Called Valentine One research today and ordered me a refurb V1 and remote display with 30 day return policy and 1 year warranty... Should be here monday or tuesday....
After my STI missed 33.8 ka-band twice i returned it yeasterday and went back to the V1... I was never upset with the performance just thought the display was a little OLD.
heck yeah let us know how 3.863 is working out. I just got a concealed display and I can't find a suitable place to mount it in my trans am so I'm gonna have to put it on eBay. When I get back from my vacation I'm going to order the audio adapter so I can hook it up to my STi remote speaker. Well hopefully that works.
Thanks for the good luck comment. I will certainly let every one know how its working and even may make some passes by our local PD and Sherriff department to see if i can shoot some video on some left on units.
I think im going to stick with my V1. After all i have never been dissapointed with its performance except for the 3.851 j-ed out 2 34.7 State Troopers, but that was to be expected bc they just switched to the digital from analog which was bound for problems.
Since I turned POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP off I have not had a single J.
Ka has been awesome for me and even Forward Facing has been fine but there has always been traffic. Jersey and traffic, perfect together. :) :?
No other detector I own can touch the V1 on X and K range.
