HOUSTON - I59 Sugarland to Houston WATCH OUT in the AM
Haven't seen much speed enforcement over the past 3 yrs along I-59 into town between 4:45AM and 6AM..... however, 9/12/07 and 9/13/07 (today).... HPD LEO in action......
The critical area is between Beltway 8 and Bellaire.... sitting on the low spots..... not sure what he's using as my V1 picked up nothing on 9/12/07 when he did a burn out and chased down an SUV.
SL is 60 in this section so heads-up :)
Drive-safe.

They have spotter cars...
Re: HOUSTON - I59 Sugarland to Houston WATCH OUT in the AM
Yeah they do. Look for silver, bluish silver, maroon, black and green Tauruses and of course any Chargers. They usually have clamp on antennas on the rear windows. The windows are rarely tinted and uniformed officers are inside.
They are all over I-10 these days and of course 59 South but they have been on 45 and 59 North before. They tend to stay between the 610 loop and the Beltway but they will sometimes run 59 all the way to the 527 spur.

Is it true that those tickets given using this method, are just civil fines?
I read/heard somewhere that it doesn't cost any points...

I've heard those rumors too but I don't know.
