Direct-wire with x50?

I asked this in another thread, but I figured I'd make my own thread to ask. I have a direct-wire adapter from the Valentine hooked up to the auxiliary harness in my car, and it works perfectly fine. I would also like to use this with my x50, but someone in that "other" thread mentioned something about pinouts being reversed - is this so, and have I / will I cause any harm by using the x50 with the V1's direct-wire adapter?

not shure about the X50 but I fryed a Cobra like that :?
