New Valentine1 modes "U" and "u" - d
Hello all !
First I wanted to say hello to all in this interesting forum !
I have a question to my new V1 (just got the brand new model 2 days ago.)
In comparison to my old V1 which I had for a few years I apparently don't have anymore the "A", "L" and "l" modes...instead of them there are now only two remaining, completely new modes "U" and "u" available.
Can me somebody explain the difference between these two mode settings ? On the Valentine1 Homepage and in Google I cannot find any information about these modes. Also there is no information in the manual.
What I found out by myself up to now is, that the "U" mode seems to be more or less same to the old "A" mode...gives normal alarm including false alarms. The "u" (small U) seems to be a very promising setting. When i set "u" mode, all false alarms on my well known roads seems to be gone, also while driving in cities, what caused massive false alarms in the past....now silence. :shock: :roll: :D niiiiiiiiiiiiice ! Today on a fixed radar the V1 warned me same as the old one has done in the past. I'll see in the future, how this setting performs in radar threat detection in real life...however, false alarm filtering seems to work more as well...
Data to my new V1:
I didn't write down the firmware number. Should be a 3.9xx or something like this (my old V1 was 2.695)
I have - when I check my serial number @www.valentine1.com - the most recent model.
I activated all bands incluiding X and KU Band which are not used here in switzerland as far as I know (I know I could deactivate them...)
I also activated the "EURO Mode", which should configure some special setting for europe.
