Whats wrong with my V1. So over the last few weeks I have felt like my V1 hasnt been performing up to standards. First encounter I came around a corrner and came across a sheriff running condtant on K. Then lastnight i was able to see the cop before the V1 went off then the rear antenna got like 1 1/2 mile range after i past him and i have had other encounters like this. I was wondering i just got my V1 in dec of 2007 and was wondering what i should do
there are a lot of variables that determine how far you can pick up radar..if your v1 seems a lot less sensitive then send it back to VR for a check up and tune..but i think that encounter u had was nothing to be worried about if u then said u had a 1.5 mile save
no once i passed the cop i picked him up weith my rear antenna i probably had like a 600ft warning before i passed him
The cop was shooting the other way and thats why you picked him up 1.5 miles behind you. They do that. Where is it mounted?

If he is not pointing the radar gun at you, actually pointing 180 away from you you will not have a warning. In one sense its ok because it is not a threat to you HOWEVER, if the officer is hiding and targeting you as you pass by (which is known to happen), it is as deadly as IO. Remember YOU have to out smart the cop, the detector is just a tool that can not be garranteed.
