Policeman Fakes Car Chase to Avoid Speeding Fine
A police officer is facing prison in Plymouth after he turned on his siren and faked a police car chase when he realised he was about to speed through a speed trap last month. 45-year-old Richard Holding was doing 89mph in a 70 zone.
The weapons specialist then prowled the police computers for a relevant incident he could pretend to have been called to. Sadly for Holding, he chose an incident that was not ever called in on police radio.
He will be sentenced next month.
