i have a walmart cobra I like it, but not because its good at range...if I know i am doing some major drivin, my V1 comes out.
But I love the corba because I can turn off X off K, intelemute, (shuts off if you go below a set speed-not all cars this will work...needs a automatic tranny) Automute, CITY.
and buy all that even with a GPS speed and red light gps for 200.00
where can you get all that?
so for me...cobra for city...v1 for hwy or serious drivin.

the 78 sucks...its too quiet, you cant hear it...cobra you can put an external speaker I did...to a steero speaker, and its LOUDER then my old 985!!!

the high end cobra does NOT suck in KA.

V1 is loud, but barely enough for my stereo the corba has a speaker jack and is louder then the 985...which is VERY loud.
Well considering about 90% of your posts are saying how much Cobra's are awesome, I'm guessing there is nothing anyone can say to make you think otherwise.

I had a 78,,,i cant hear it over my stereo
maybe it's just me, but is it any coincidence that this guy is driving IN THE CITY with his stereo so loud he can't hear a whistler 78 RD would be the same type of person who chooses cobra. You know what, Cobra RDs suck on range and detection, period. By time you HEAR your cobra go off, you'll be hearing sirens as well. And btw, my SRX has a super bright led that goes off when I get hit that will get your attention even in daylight., so it don't matter how loud my stereo is.

dude I hate cobra too...but the high end ones have alot of features that the other units just dont offer...period
and like cobras xr7...it has features...but poor detection
so for quiet city driving cobra is nice for me...
but I pull out my laser ******* and my V1 on the hwy.
AND NO, my laser ****** is NOT rmr....I am not stupid.
