I was wondering how often you send your V1 for a tune up?
Mine is 4 months old, and I thinking about sending it in...
Also, are all tune-ups free for the original owner, or just the first one?
thanks for your contributions

Why do you thinnk you need a tune up so soon?
4 mths....woah
have a little more faith in V1 than that. im going on 6 mths and it seems like my range is getting better. just had another 3 mile hit this weekend. i would say wait til at least 9mths to a 1yr, unless your having some sort of performance anxiety with it
I drive by a K speed sign everyday, but I noticed the distance to the source is getting less...Quote:

There could be many reasons for that besides your V1... the signal could be partially blocked by other cars, trees (leaves coming in in the spring), the battery in the speed trailer could be getting weak, the trailer could have been moved and the angle of the beam changed.Quote:

As for tune-ups, once a year at the worst. Newer units (3.85x and higher) have a self-tuning feature so they shouldn't drift out like the older units do, and if they do, they'll display an "E" in the display.
If you have a 3.858 to 3.864 v1 just wait till it throws a E before sending it in. 8)
Just found out from VR,
tune-ups are free for original owners under warranty. If it's out of warranty, then there's a $45 fee.
wat rev. do you have?
