9500i and ix completely the same sensitivity

I've spoken with multiple techs at Escort Radar on more than one occasion, and all of them have said the same.
Anyone that is claiming the ix is any more sensitive than the 9500i is wrong. There is not one piece of hardware or software that improves sensitivity in any way.

So those of you that were considering upgrading with that in mind (I for one have no need for speed cams and wouldnt trust AutoLearn), think again.

Its the placebo affect. If you're getting what you THINK is higher sensitivity in your 9500ix than your previous 9500i, its either your imagination, the conditions of the signal you're receiving, or you had a junk 9500i.

Could easily be manufacturer's variance.

agreed that that is a possibility with ANY electronics, but I think they're close enough where its not going to be much of a difference at all (unless you had a bad 9500i unit as I stated).

Just wanted to make sure people didnt jump at the opportunity to drop $90 or more to upgrade their unit because of these claims alone. I know I was excited to hear of an Escort with higher sensitivity for close to the same cost.

After all......if the company that makes the units tells me flat out (several times) that there is absolutely NO DIFFERENCE IN SENSITIVITY on either unit, when they know they could influence me to pay for an upgrade (or talk me into paying even more for a NEW ix), it's evident to me theres no difference whatsoever.

If you want more sensitivity then get the Gx65.

I think the GX65 will end up having the exact same sensitivity as the 9500i(x).
