I know its a bit ignorant to ask a question like this when it comes
down to those two..
but as I read more and more of reviews of both, I really can't
decide or judge on which one is better.
Saving couple of bucks with RX65 is a plus, but many tend to
say X50 is better. Then again, there are also reviews and comments
about how RX65 is better.

Im probly a lil :roll: :lol: biased, but I say stick with the GOL results and understand its got possible Ku band... Go with the RX65... it will treat you well... 8)
I say any of the top three will serve you well.
If laser is an issue get the X50 but according to all the reviews of the RX65 and X50 and tests done by the GOL ......it seems the radar range of the two are pretty well the SAME. So.....you can pretty well go by looks or features. I personally like the Expertmeter mode of the X50 as opposed to the one offered on the RX65. The X50 shows more threats and some neat little bars to go by for strength. But if KU comes to the US then the company will add it to the X50. I have confirmed this with Escort. 8)

I forgot to add that it is a good idea to go with the extra 2 years of warranty for $30 because these detectors any day could show service required....which means you have to send them in.....and if your 1 year warranty is over :cry: then you got to pay.
I like the RX65's first alert in the GOL test. I DO NOT like the display options, and how the alert sound doesn't "ramp up" on the RX65. However, when selecting a radar detector I think that the earliest first alert is the most important thing. If I had to choose between and X50 or a RX65 I would pick the RX65.
The RX65 did alert first on their test course...but that doesn't mean that it will always alert first. There are situations in which things can change and maybe the X50 would alert first. That's why I think they are dead even with radar detection. If you don't know what I am talking about check this test of the big 3 that was done on a real live road trip. Sometimes one detector alerted first...sometimes the other. Don't let one test hinder your mind :shock:Quote:

You'll be good with any of the big 3. V1 is generally the most sensitive overall. X50 and RX65 are pretty much the same. Although the GOL tests put the RX65 ahead, any of them will alert more than soon enough. My X50 alerted me to instant-on Ka when I was 2 miles from the cop.Quote:
