If I could, I would make sweet, sweet love to my V1
Hey fellow RD guys, just checking in half way through my first on the road weekend with my new V1. All I can say so far is WOW!!!!!:D Christmas day, on the leg up to see my girlfirend, between Birmingham AL and Hunstville AL, the V1 was on its game. In one hour and a half trip, it busted an AL sherrif running Ka, a Hunstville PD running K and another state trooper hidden on an exit ramp shooting K. Three awesome saves since I was doing about 85 in a 70.
Last night here in Huntsville, the V1 saved my a$$!! Was late to dinner and on a very busy surface street, lots of K and X interference. Running advanced logic mode and was keeping a rabbit ahead of me when bam, laser goes off. Had just enough time to get checked up before I saw the HPD in a bank parking lot, gun out the window.
I think that the V1 has already paid for itself. This is the single, best purchase I have made in a long time. I freakin love my V1.

People in Alabama drive FAST! I was going through there last year driving from Nashville to Starkville, MS and I remember the average flow of traffic was about 80-85mph on I-65. In Birmingham I remember being passed by numerous cars going 80mph in the 50mph stretch through Downtown B-ham.

Glad you're having fun with it. It's a badass detector.
I have yet to see any LEOs, unfortunately. Can't believe I'm saying "unfortunately". There is an LEO who lives in my complex. I'm almost tempted to go introduce myself and ask him to shoot me with a radar/laser of some kind just so I can see the V1 alert.

I know how you feel. I'm used to getting hit with laser at least once a week and often more than that. Have not had an encounter now in more than a month. I think they all went on vacation or something.

Nope Atlanta is the fastest urban driving environment I've ever had the pleasure to lay wheels in. And it's no wonder with all the elevation changes and banked turns. The 285 split to 75 South is an epic sweeper with good visibility onto 75 so your less likely to get pinched by patrol cars already on 75. Good times . . .:)

Isn't Atlanta the worst traffic in the USA or it has to be at least Top 3? I have looked at different sources and everyone of them are different.
What my point is that people seem to drive fast when they live in large cities with horrible traffic in it.

There's a certain safety in numbers issue at work with more cars on the road. As the traffic thins out you stand out more.

They had an operation on 285 a few years ago where they brought in GSP from all over the State for speed enforcement. One of the new guys exclaimed it was like shooting into a herd of antelope, pick one out and the herd speeds up.
Atlanta traffic is only bad from 7am to 9am and 3:30pm to about 6:30pm. After that it's pedal to the metal. DC and St. Louis were far worse to me than Atlanta. At least in ATL they will move on down the road when they can.
