Who’s on First?
“I was on the east bound train headed west, but when I looked north I knew I was going south.” In other words: Do the GPS RD’s distinguish directionality or do they simply recognize the area of a camera. My NavAlert only alerts me if the POI or camera I’m approaching, is in my direction of travel. I really like how this works but I'm now about ready to buy my for first RD (most likely an "ix:) , so I need to know. :help:

Re: Who’s on First?
I think they just alert if you are within the set vicinity/radius.

Re: Who’s on First?
Yeah, I was afraid of that, and I must say, this is where my NavAlert shines. So, I may opt for the STI or the undisputed V1.

Re: Who’s on First?
Yes you will get alerts on the Interstate for a redlight camera if you get close enough to that location.

Re: Who’s on First?
As said above it works by a 'radius' to the camera.
I have a V1, and have been eyeing up the Cheetah C100 for a while there. It has the 'directional' awareness and alerts only if the cameras are looking at you. I waited because camera's aren't a large enough threat for me yet.
