Newbie assistance - Laser Mask for 335i?
Hi there guys. Just need some helpful advice on this product LaserMaskUSA I am always hearing about the "Blinder Jammer" but how does this product stand against its competition? I see they are running a sale for $199 on these units as well. Any input would be very much appreciated :)

For the price/performance, that's the best bang for the buck.
Check out GOL's results for 2008 and see for yourself.

BTW if you put all 4 heads up front, you'd be pretty much JTG.

I think I'd have to know a lot more about your car before I would stand behind that recommendation. If you have a small, dark, aerodynamic car with no chrome and a coat of Veil on the headlights, then you might get some great performance from a Laser Mask, even with just two heads. But if you're driving a big, white, or chrome infested car with fog lamps, you're taking a big chance.

My car is a "white" 2 door coupe.
Re: Need some assistance for a newbie = )
Thanx again for everyone's replies btw ;) I think I will be ordering this product with "2" heads.

Prepare to bend over. I'd just save that money for the ticket rather than buy the Laser Mask.

SHUT THE F*CK UP!
I am willing to bet the Laser Mask will still offer ticket saving performance!!!!!!! Everyone focuses their decisions on testing senerio's. I got news for you Cops can't shoot as good as us enthusiasts can.

To the original poster buy 2 heads now but plan to by another 2 heads later for extra protection...For the price at $200 for 2 heads I would just by the 4 head set-up
People bad mouth the Laser Mask all you want just keep in mind there are many users that have had good luck with it

That is exactly why they are so dangerous. Because they are much more likely to pan across your weak spots and achieve instant PT, unlike us with our tripods. I'd rather have an enthusiast shooting my centre mass than a cop anyday, because with an enthusiast, I know they're not likely to hit my headlights.
Of course, "ticket saving performance" is still a nebulous term. If you're engaged at 1200 feet, yeah... you will have time to slow down. But if you're engaged at 500 feet, you're toast. Most engagements are at under 1000 feet. In the city, forget it. It will save you a ticket sometimes, but not consistently with the kind of car this guy is talking about.
There is a reason that they are dumping these things for under $200 bucks. You get what you pay for. Yes, it is a good device. Apparently better than the ZR-4, which also offers ticket saving performance* (on just the right car, under just the right conditions). But I would bet that most people don't want that asterisk after the term "ticket saving performance" when they buy a jammer. Because if he gets engaged at under around 800 feet, his $200 bucks was wasted.
Bottom line is, a little bit of protection is like a little bit of karate training. It's just enough to get your arse kicked.

I completely disagree there are countless videos showing the Laser Mask jam for 5seconds + which is plently of time to slow down to posted speed limit. Most cops only shoot CM which is great help to the jammer community. There are videos of the Laser Mask doing very well on center mass shots. No PT's like you claim under 1000ft PTs at around 500ft.
call me crazy but I have used jammers which performed much worse than the jammers currently on the market and I have never gotten a ticket with my very high cruising speed.
I use to put my trust in the Blinder M20 so Its not hard for me to look at the performance of the Laser Mask and know I can trust it:cool:
The next test I am going I would love for someone to show up with one of these LED jammers so I can make a video demostrating the fact that they work. If I could afford to buy an LED jammer to test it I would but I don't have that money
Before there were these Diode jammers the LED jammers were all that was available and still people weren't getting tickets
Happya$$ can attest to even his civic with just a Blinder M20 and his Wifes SUV with an M20 both had many ticket saves. There has only been one real addition to the laser gun since the Blinder M20 and M40 was king.
Rob I have told myself everything you are telling me to justify the fact that I spent $1200 on my laser jammer set-up, But the truth is I would still been ticket free even if I had my old Blinder M20 on the front of my ride.

I would recommend for the orginal poster to go with the 4 head Laser Mask though.
Re: Need some assistance for a newbie = )
About to place my order today...should I get the "2" head or the "4" head version for $179 more :( Not looking to spend the $400 but being that I drive a white car which would be my best bet???
