I hope my v1 isnt broken.
My dad used my care yesterday and he left my V1 on all night long with the car off. It was on since 11pm sat yesterday till 3pm today sunday. I hope nothing happen to the v1 for being on for hours. I tested it out on a fasle door opener and it alreated with no problem. But I am still paranoid.

nah, the V1 is built tough
Re: I hope my v1 isnt broken.
I don't think anything happened to it. The only thing that might "try" to kill it is if you leave it mounted like on the hottest day of the summer. But even that can be fixed by letting it cool down for a while.

It's fine. Sheesh, you guys baby your detectors too much -- they're well engineered, well protected electronics fully designed to cope with the environment inside a car.

My mom has a V1. I know for a fact that the V1 spends a significant amount of time in her purse (she volunteers at a free health clinic and won't leave it in her car). She's had her V1 for 3 or 4 years. It alerts perfectly well. Don't worry about it.

I am almost sure that with the V1 there is very little battery current drain with the engine off (assuming that you lighter is wired to keep the V1 on with the engine off)- you should be good to go.
I myself have forgotten to turn my V1 off when I shut the engine off and things were fine.

It's a device designed for continuous operation just fine, what you should be a bit more worried about is draining the car battery, which shouldn't be a concern unless you drain it for more than a few days.
