He is using the visor clip to mount his 8500 X50, and obviously chose to mount it on the passenger visor so that he can use his driver's visor. That is a slick idea of attaching his GPS unit underneath the RD.

That makes sense. :) I would just stuff the clip under the headliner and have it a bit more stealthy/high and closer to me.

:hmmmm2: It's still going to be blocking the use of your sunvisor there, whether it is clipped to the visor or not.
Besides, it's a Hell of a lot easier to glance right at your RD than to cock your head back to look up at it. Been there. Done that. Learned my lesson quickly.

I don't know about you but my eyes can move up and down. Also im not short so its right in my line of vision but slightly up. :)
No blocking of visor here, folds covering the RD nicely:
