Well guys, I ordered a Valentine One after having stayed up all night debating if I should order it or not due to funds, but you only live once so I went for it.
I will be returning or selling my current detector. While it did its job, I have always had my eyes set on a Valentine One... Can't wait to play around with the new toy, see the flashing arrows, and awesome performance. :D
Yeah man the v1 is an amazing radar........with the saves i have had so far......its the best detector for me....But it took me a lil bit to get used to false alerts......Its going to be a huge step up from the cobra you had......my first was a cobra i picked up from frys cause ive seen the brand a lot more in diff places and auto thought it was one of the best....used it on a 24 trip and realized i had some very very close saves....i shipped it back before the end of 15days.....i found this site researching a better one........now few months later on i spend hours a day on this site...

You just made one of the best choices in the radar detector community. Cobra = crap. V1 = Awesome.

I just got my V1, going to use it today for the first time. I hope the 3.872 is as good as everyone says it is.
This is my 3rd V1. 1st one was a 3.826, i returned it. 2nd one was a 3.851, sold it. I purchased the 3.851 just before the GOL March 2007 radar detector test so we could have another new retail V1 for the test. Mine was Valentine One #3, the one that blew the other detectors away on X band - Guys of LIDAR - Radar Detector Test - March 2007
I love my 3.826, what probems were you having with yours?
