Re: Valentine One question
on my trips from NH to WI, i've had a v1, and a 9500ix
i liked the v1 better for the trip, but the 9500ix worked well
you'd appreciate them for that long of a trip
Re: Valentine One question
I've driven from CA to WI twice. Had the V1 on the first and the 9500ix on the second. Definitely preferred the V1 especially when you get an alert in the middle of nowhere at night. From my experience the V1 also had an advantage over range. I would see the oncoming cops before the ix would alert.
Now around L.A., that's a different story :D
Re: Valentine One question
I have both v1 and ix...
Yes,I would say v1 for highway, and ix for city,,but both are great RD.

Re: Valentine One question
There's nothing like a V-1 for cross-country travel
Getting a beep, near a strange small town, is just that . . . . getting a beep
Knowing he's out there, doesn't compare, to knowing WHERE
Linear Ramping + Arrows = Awareness
reducing those moments of 'wonder'
Re: Valentine One question
I've been using both for a few weeks now. V1 if you are only going to use it on the hwy and can turn Xband off. 9500ix is better for all around use as it is so much better for false alerts in the city and still works well on the hwy, even if it is a notch below V1.

You mean the Escort 9500ix is better at blocking out police officers using K band because Escort TrueLock users would rather hear silence because real alerts are so annoying.
Re: Valentine One question
You will get more saves with a CB radio across Kansas than a V1. Most of the KSP use instant on, hidden in the median or rolling. They will own your V1 without using a CB radio with it.

:) you have to be careful with trulock, it's a tool and not foolproof. If you are going 20 over in areas that are locked out you are taking a risk.
I've only been using it a couple of weeks but no problems so far. Of course I don't have a lot of K band areas locked out, mostly x band.
I have no loyalty to either company, and wish I liked the V1 better as it's 100 bucks cheaper, but I just don't. V1 is a double edge sword, sensitivity is great sometimes, but can also be very annoying....9500 has never missed a real alert so far, and I've encountered 4 real LEO's using IO so I am confident it's a solid detector despite some of the hating going on.
