Adding to current setup, any advice?
I currently run Blinder m45 up front (2 below headlights/bumper, 2 Vertical in grille) and ZR3 (front sensors) in the rear. I can't decide between the M47 (2 up front, 2 in rear) or LI Dual (1 up front, 1 rear). I have seen all of the results of the various jammer tests, but just can't make a decision. I am partial to Blinder, but might want to add a little diode action in the mix. Prices are pretty much the same. Thanks.

I don't think 1 LI head in front will protect you, but 2 M27 heads might. So if you are looking for front and rear protection then I would say the M47.
We are planning an M27 vs Dual LI test during our next test session next month. We are using the Cadillac SRX as the test vehicle and using a straight flat course. This should give people some comparison data between the 2 jammer systems, as the SRX is not small vehicle and it's the dreaded red color which makes it a hard vehicle to protect.
Re: Adding to current setup, any advice?
Given the lack of absolute real-estate on your vehicle, 8freerunner8, I'm very hesitant to suggest that you further increase your "mix" ratio.
You've already said, in another post, that the rear head of the ZR4 seems to be cuing in on the "front" head's output, when all three are back there - adding in another jammer, center-plate, is likely to get you the same problematic result.
Given those two rear ZR4 heads....I'm honestly not sure how much good they're doing you, I'd recommend that you scrub that setup, and, instead, go with either a dual Slim LI setup or, alternatively, go with an M27 setup back there.
Then, switch the ZR4 setup to "traditional," with two heads up front, and one rear - and put them on "Receive"-only mode: to give you tactical alert of a front versus rear attack.
Re: Adding to current setup, any advice?
Yeah, it's extremely difficult to make any kind of recommendations regarding mixed systems. We see such mixed results on them that there are no safe bets. Of course, you can try several combinations and test them for results, but that's a pain in the arse to constantly remount and retest.
Honestly, I'd recommend putting a dual LI on on either the front or back, then eventually adding two more heads to the other end when you can, and remove the current systems, rather than trying to mix them.
There's plenty of market for used systems.

Lol, actually I hate to say that it is a ZR3(even worse I know) and I only run the two front sensors in the rear. I took the rear sensor off after the Georgia jammerfest due to interference. I guess I should take off the Zr3 heads and go with a M27, it would be monumentally better than the ZR3s, although not quite on par with the LI Dual.

I am going to wait and make a decision after the Houston meet, when you and I tested, the front did decent, but the shots weren't off-axis by much and you could still get my A-frame with the stalker (I think you received a reading with the LRB on the A-frame at about 89 feet.) I would think that adding some heads in the grille (farther out towards the headlights), would help cover the A-frame. Just some speculation, I will make my decision after the next meet.
Re: Adding to current setup, any advice?
I remember shooting your car at the Georgia event. My advice is keep the front setup you have now. It was fairly solid after it was tweaked.... I would say sell the zr3 right away (I can't believe you still have that thing j/k) on ebay and get a m27 or dual head LI for the rear. My inclination with the rear harder to protect would be to just make sure it is done right the first time and get the LI. You could also move the Blinder heads to the rear and put the LI up front.
Re: Adding to current setup, any advice?
^ That's a good break-down.
My only concern with that proposal would be the physical location/setup of the rear heads - given that there's not that much real-estate back there, and aside from the plate recess, no really good areas to put the other two heads.
But I definitely agree with putting your strongest protection forward-facing.

Yep, I remembered that you said you ran only the two front heads, facing rear - but totally forgot that it was the ZR3. :o
However, aside from LA-Stealth Mode protection, I don't think that there's much to be missed, with the ZR3, versus the ZR4.
