Firmware revision... 3.6 vs. 4.5

Anyone know what improvements were made in the RX65's version 4.5 firmware?

When did it come out?

I believe that the RX65 used to come in USA mode by default. Now it comes factory set in INTL mode. Was that one of the changes?

Roy, what issues were fixed?

Nope, mine came in INTL with Rev 3.2. I had a "service required" error with my 3.2. When I got it back it was 4.5. POP falsing has gone WAY down, but I can't really say if something was always wrong with the unit, or if it is the firmware difference.

I dont know if this answer still holds true due to some of the treads I have read since but there it is. It seams to me that the newer version 4.5 has the problem not the older 3.6 version

P.s. I now have a rx65 version 3.6 after trade back with Roy and I have no problems with self-cal message and it works greatttttttttttt.

I spoke to Chad at Bel today about this, and he said there is no performance difference between the firmware revisions and it is only for service codes that they get back when testing if there is something wrong. He said that they will update anyone for free if they send in their unit though.

sweet...id he say if the STi passed a spectre test?

just got back the other day and they fixed the software to 4.5 now, and the pop falsing is way down by more than half of the earlier version. dan
