Hello everybody.My first posting.I just found your website.And it is great.

Got a speeding ticket near Rockville,MD.
TA- 21-801.1 85/55mph on I-270 //RT 121 North.
It was a downhill parked state trooper.
DMV recordI - one ticket 10-14 over limit in MAY 2005 ( 4.5 yrs ago)
I live in VA where 20 miles over is reckless driving and stays on record for 10 yrs with 7 points.
Will go to court this Wednesday in Montgomery County.
How should I plead and what to do and say.

Welcome to the forum. Sorry about your ticket. Are you looking into any radar detectors?

Welcome to the forum, first get a copy of your driving record from your dmv and see if it's clean...if it is that will help you fight your case. Get a good radar detector. Doing 30 over without a detector it like playing russian roulette with the police. If you hire a lawyer in Maryland he can plead your case down to just 9 over most likely. I would also try and push your court date back for awhile (good chance trooper might not even show.) I believe your ticket is 5 points and a 290 dollar fine. Maryland will report it back to VA if I'm not mistaken. Good luck man!
