9500ix false x-band from leaky radar detector

hi
well i was driving on highway today and
my 9500ix starts alerting me of X-band 10.525 in spec mode
i look to see what cars are around but there is non
and then i see an old vehicle moving in the opposite direction
of the highway as it got closer the signal level was higher
i saw a radar detector that is mounted in the vehicle.
have anyone encountered a leaky radar detector setting off 9500ix with x-band?

The really old ones will set off X band on my V1 on rare occasion.

Same. Every one in a while my V1 will bleep and I'll see something old in someones windshield.

I have a couple of (old) nice scanners that will set off X band when they hit certain freqs

There are some Uniden model RDs that will cause X band false alerts. Some Unidens will also cause K band false alerts as well. The false alerts can be very strong BTW.
