New member / V1 owner, looking for good jammer.
Hi all,
new member here, and also just got a V1 with the concealed display. Wish I would have knew about the colored displays before I bought it.
I have a 06 Cadillac STS. It has the factory NAV and I have installed two 9" touch screen headrest monitors. They cam with wireless headphones. I think they are IR but I'll double check to be certain.
Anyways, when the headrests are on I get a constant X band alert on the V1 to the rear. If I turn the HR off it goes away. But if I leave the HR on it is there constanlty. The V1 says 1, to the rear, about half strenght. I don't use the wireless headphones and they have been in the trunk turned off the whole time.
Anyone know why this is or how to fix it?
I am also wanting to get a good laser jammer as I am in Florida and the FHP I hear uses lasers. I hear laser interceptor is good but I read they are in a lawsuit and support may not be around too much longer.
So what does everyone reccomend?
My car is black if that helps.

Where do you live? Is X band used there? You might be able to just turn X band off.
Also, I think you can send your CD to Languy99 and he can modify it.

Welcome aboard what part of florida are you from? You can turn off x-band as it is outlawed in Florida I would reccomend the LI or the Blinder mx7 series
Re: New member / V1 owner, looking for good jammer.
Thanks guys!
I am either going to send my CD in to get modified or I am just going to buy a new one and sell mine on ebay or something.
I live by just south of Tampa.
When you say that X band is illegal in Florida is that just for the purpose of police radar guns? Or is there some other reason X band is illegal? What else uses X band?
Is it for sure illegal? If so that would be kinda great as I would be able to safely tun my X band off and not have to worry about it.
I went to my local A/V shop today and they only had two jammers. they had the blinder M-20 X-treme, and an Escort one (forget which one).
They had the M-20 on sale for $299 out the door but luckily I held off and started doing some research.
It seems that every site that reviews and tests jammers each has they're own "best". Some things are just like that I guess.
I did find that most of the sites all said that the LI was good. Is it true that the blinders just use IR lights or diodes or something and the LI doesn't and uses a different WAY better technology?
What do you guys think of the lawsuit against LI? I could care less but if I were to buy one and they went out of business and one of the heads go out I would be screwed.
Do the heads go out often or do the jammers usually last a while?
Sorry for all the questions I'm new at all this (obviously).
Thanks again!
Re: New member / V1 owner, looking for good jammer.
There have been reports of X band being used in Florida, but X band is not approved for use in Florida and that radar evidence could not be used in court if you could prove the LEO was using X band.

Welcome aboard fellow Floridian. FHP is using more and more laser...If you go with the Blinder, get the latest M27 or M47. The M20 is a 2 versions back. Check out Guys of lidar to see previous test results and make your own decision.
As stated above you can turn off x band....

Thanks,
So if I get a ticket and the cop won't tell me which band he clocked me on (or I can't tell by the V1) if I take it to court do they have to tell me in court what band it is?
Re: New member / V1 owner, looking for good jammer.
STS rocks. Black Lacs are the best...
Anyone have any ideas about the X false? I have the same car with monitor headrests and never get a false on my V1 (.813).
My CTS nav screen does cause a laser false though.
Oh yea, Do you happen to have adaptive cruise? I thought it was IR but it may use radar.
