Visited Valentine Research
Good afternoon. Yes, I recently visited Alliance Rd. and purchased a V1. I had visited once before for a demo, however that was a few years ago. As you have seen on the pictures stickied, it is small and simple. I entered and I was the only visitor. A lady helped me at first and took care of the transaction. There are no public bathrooms and there is a sign mentioning no walking into the back. Not that I would "pop in". I waited around for around five minutes and a fella brought out the box with the device and a carrying case. I guess they configure a shipment with a V1 and case, or only the V1. I am glad I bought the case and find it to be a fair purchase.
I peered through the window looking for a sighting of Mike, however it was not my day.:) I forgot to ask if this was the latest and greatest, however it is a 3.872. I have read other recent purchases, and had not read of any older models being shipped out.
As it goes I have not run into much action. I am not driving around a lot lately, and have failed to sniff out any KA. A statie pulled up from behind the first day, however he was not triggering. I did pull it down just for precautions. He did fire a couple IO Xband from the rear after he passed, but I think he saw me put it up or was playing with someone. I had a friend in the car and it would of blown to get a ticket the first day of action:D. I drove back to Columbus via 32 and 23. I thought 23 would be a nice drive, but I was wrong! Traffic lights and trucks every where. Right when I got onto 23 a statie IO from behind from a store with Kband. I was crawling and there was a lot of traffic. Maybe he was eating a burger and saw my new friend and lauched a few waves.
So far I love the arrows and counter. I will hold onto the unit, and I can finally live to my RD.net name.

That is great that you enjoy the V1. Do you have a ghosting problem with the 3.872, that is, the number in the counter shows more than there are radars? The new unit I have has yet to ghost like my older model did. Enjoy.:)

Ghosting has been solved with the 3.872.

Just had one J out. I do believe it was some junk. Everyone must be amazed how hard that it is to find kaband on ohio highways. I still have never seen a statie with ka, however I believe it is on the list under Ohio. I need to visit Belscort again soon. I wish I had some land to do some testing, and have a radar/laser dork fest:D. I know if you speed a lot it is a life changer.
