question about phone wire/rj11 crimping
I'm shortening up all my wires to the V1/CD/AA etc. so I got one of those RJ11 crimper deals. Anyway, I was wondering how to orient the wire before crimping.
For instance. If I look at one end (tang up) and the yellow wire is to the left, do I install the other end so the yellow wire is left/tang up?
I hope this makes sense. I've read some stuff about "reverse" wires and such but now it makes sense.
Thanks.
Re: question about phone wire/rj11 crimping
Orient it the same way as the original plug was... so cut, then look at the orientation on the plug you just cut off, then arrange them the same way on the new plug.
