bel gx65 gps reception loss. corrected.

so i moved my RD to the left side of the rearview mirror and it works perfectly now. no more gps signal loss. i'm thinking when i had it place under my rearview mirror, maybe the auto-dim(rearview mirror) or some interference was blocking the gps signal?

Oscillators live next to processors and just about everything has a processor in it now. Oscillators can and often do cause interference. That is the biggest reason it is suggested that two RDs no be located in close proximity with one another. It could also be the metal around the RVM unit too.

Makes you feel better when it is a simple fix.

I have never lost a gps signal- fingers crossed.
