Re: New Valentine One user
Where do you have your V1 mounted?
You just have to let the Infinity's get ahead of you and it will be all good:thumb2:
Re: New Valentine One user
Turn off X band.
Just remember our little phrase "I'd rather false and get every alert rather than have less falses and miss the alerts that count"
;)

He's in NC, do not turn off X-Band...X-Band is actively used by the NCSHP and other sheriffs. NC is the worst state with speeding laws hands down, I'm sure you can't wait to get back to Florida. When you get to FL you can turn X-Band off because FL isn't allowed to use it. Also, get jammers and turn laser off on your V1, it won't save you from a laser trap anyways. Oh yea and welcome to the forum :D
Re: New Valentine One user
The V1 falses to laser like crazy, if you cant handle it i would turn off laser. It wont save you anyway and investing in some kind of Jammer would be even better.
Re: New Valentine One user
I have mine mounted low above the wipers. I prefer it lower on windshield. I have a K band speed sign here, tested mounted high and low there was no difference in detection range. Yes , X band is active here in NC. Maggie Valley uses Ka and K bands.

Yes, in normal testing it shouldn be a huge difference. But mounting it high near the RVM, might give you the faint chance of picking up a laser scatter. And plus it puts it away from here robbers can see it and prevents the v1 from getting directly impacted by the sun.

"I have a speed sign "K band" here, tested mounted high and low... ..." gives you insight into your V-1s behaviour when encountering a "K-band speed sign"
The precarious nature of real-world encounters demand every strategic advantage/benefit possible. The world isn't flat and a high-mounted detector has a better chance of getting that one-and-only whiff[short, very low-level alert] in any situation involving terrain.
Discretion and shade are other advantages of a high-mount. NOTHING positive ever happens as a consequence of advertising your use of a detector by mounting it in plain sight, baking in the sun.
Re: New Valentine One user
The odd thing is. I mounted right below my mirror, can't be any higher because of the tint and design of my car. When mounted higher I received less of a warning when I had the sign shooting away from me. It was only a tenth of a mile less warning versus having it mounted above the wipers. I am in a mountain valley, the road is far from flat and straight. I received a mile and three tenths detection with the sign shooting at me. The road has dips and curves.
