Any new remote detectors from Whistler?
The remote detectors produced by whistler now are based on a old platform. DE 3500 and Pro 3450 are the equivalent of Pro 73 from what I know. They are a bit obsolete now. The filtering and range are not good enough for 2010, 3450 has some reliability problems... They are not a real option for someone who wants a remote detector.
I would like a remote detector based on the new platform, Pro 78, maybe even a waterproof remote detector for motorcycle. Is there a chance to see such a product soon?
One thing I don't like about the new whistlers is the old style volume control.
Another thing Whistlers don't have is the calibration circuit. Belscorts tell you when they are not working properly, with wistlers you can find this when you get the ticket.

the only thing I know of really is the PRO-3450, don't know how long it has been out, but we've been carrying it for about a year now
Re: Any new remote detectors from Whistler?
I have hoping that Whistler would update their 3450 remote install to an SE platform. The current 3450 is essentially obsolete with the new SE platform. Whistler is phasing out the old Pro 58/73 platform in the higher end detectors. The Pro 68 has been up graded to the newer Rev C.
Maybe Mike B. and company will surprise us later this month. Whistler usually opens up the radar gate during the month of April.

I really hope Whistler surprises us with a detector that obsoletes the SE series!:)
Could that be the reason they haven't released a SE remote yet?
