Saw a Cobra mounted correctly
We've all poked fun at the "Cobra to the sky", I figure I'd let everyone know that I was at a traffic light the other day, the guy in front of me was running a Cobra, mounted center windshield low, but it at least it was level. So not everyone who runs a Cobra is a loon. (At least not when it comes to mounting) :D
Re: Saw a Cobra mounted correctly
Well I saw the title and I was gonna say pics or STFU, but after your description I've concluded, still a loon. "Dashmount" RD is high center and level, anything but and they didn't need the detector for radar reception.
Re: Saw a Cobra mounted correctly
I've seen a couple mounted correctly. It's not just cobra users that mount their detector towards the sky, people who use older or cheap detectors(cheaper whistlers) will mount their detector towards the sky.
Re: Saw a Cobra mounted correctly
The title speaks for itself, LOL. On that note I saw a little Honda Civic ricer the other day with a V1 mounted center windshield pointed straigt up to the sky. Tried to take a pic my iPhone but couldn't snap it in time. I guess this can go both ways.

You couldn't keep up with a riced out civic? :p His arrows must work perfect with that mounting job.

The only correct way to mount a Cobra is beneath one of your tires! :D
A ricer with a V1? Must have been a gift... or stolen. The arrows would tell you if you're being clocked from an airplane or a subway. :D

Re: Saw a Cobra mounted correctly
I used to have an old cheap cobra, gave it to a friend and taught him how to mount it correctly (as correctly as a cobra CAN be mounted). It alerts to C/O Ka decently well. Anything else, I wouldn't know.
