Help Bel RX65 vs Escort 9500i

Hi guys

I did some search on net and brought my choices down to Bel RX65 vs Escort 9500i. My primary goal is to avoid these sucking cops on highways where they hide in unimaginable places. In city I am mostly careful and within limits all the time. So, I was looking for suggestions to decide which radar is the best to go for. My budget is around 300-350 max.

Any input is valuable and appreciated.

I would say save the extra $60 - $90 you would have to spend on the 9500i and just go with the Beltronics RX-65, it works just as good as the 9500i

Honestly they have the same detection range, you're paying a premium for the GPS capabilities is all. You should look at the Vector units, they are also the exact same hardware and much cheaper.

If you're looking at the RX65, look for escorts C65. (much cheaper)

thanks guys... at this stage I don't worry about paying $50-60 more, I am concerned with performance only. It's a one time invest, as per GPS in 9500i, so that's what I wanted to know if it's worth paying for that ? How bad are false alarms in case of RX65 which might get better on 9500i ?

The tunnel vision M4 RDs don't false a lot. If X band is not a concern, turn that off.

All detectors false, get used to it. The 9500i has lockout features that can reduce it. The off axis failings of these detectors are well known, but it does make for less falsing.

Only difference is the paint job on the outside and it has Escorts alert tones (so no creepy pedophile guy).
