laser range finder to test laser shifter?
i own a sniper rifle and i use a laser ranger finder (bushnell elite 1500 with arc) to measure the distance to my targets i can get targets up to 1500 yards ( deer ,moose,,) it even has a brush mode to make the laser a bit finer to penetrate brushy areas ,could i use this to test a laser shifter?

Re: laser range finder to test laser shifter?
 Not that simple, you can see if it'll detect that wavelength of light with a TV remote, but if you want to see if they're effective that's a whole different ball game.
Now be careful with the "sinper rilfe" that's http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/media/cat...14-MC_mark.JPG stuff
Re: laser range finder to test laser shifter?
A laser range finder is nothing like a tv remote laser , the laser that comes out of a laser range finder is identical as the laser that comes out of a lidar police gun
Re: laser range finder to test laser shifter?
Okay, I'm wrong. I have no idea what I'm talking about. I don't own any lidar guns or laser jammers. And I've never tested any of this stuff. I'm just making it all up. My apologies.
Luckily, most people here are smart enough to ignore you.

Quit double posting or I'll reset your post count to zero for good.
I'm not bitter. I'm annoyed, because another n00b thinks he figured out something that the rest of us haven't already tested a thousand times in the last five years. More reading, less posting.
Re: laser range finder to test laser shifter?
Can I ask you what laser range finder you tested what model?

 It's ok stealth we know nothing the newbs are always right. Pluse rate, lens diameter, beam strength and sampling algorithms mean nothing, heck my local PD should stop wasting my tax dollars and just by the golf laser range finders with speed displays.
Oh yeah apparently the search function is full of lies as well:rolleyes:
