9500 IX, what kind range are you guys getting.
I picked up a 9500 IX today, to test out verse my V1. I've haven't gotten the chance to run into any Leo's as of now, but I've been going around speed signs that I know. For some reason I haven't been getting very positive results from either.
It seems as if I'm getting very late detection, or maybe not.. you guys tell me, because I'm sure most of you have way more experience then me. Here's an example of one of the signs I'd pass by.

Definitely liking the GPS and false alarm recording feature of the 9500 IX, the only upside that I'm personally seeing from the V1 are the arrows and minimal earlier detection which was still in my opinion uncommonly close to the emitting source.. Let me know, I'm sure one of you guys will have a reason as to why I'm getting such late alerts.

I'm not sure but maybe somebody will verify but they said not to use two RD together because they will interfere.

So far my experience has been mixed. I had a 2+ mile alert the other day and two this week with 1/4 mile or less alert. It may be just my short experience so far but it picks up 35.5 better than 34.7.

if your using both detectors the V1 and the 9500ix then yes the V1 will interfere with the range of the 9500ix, if you must use them together mount the V1 has high as you possibly can and the 9500ix as low as you can with out having anything blocking it of course, this should help the 9500ix get some more range, other wise you should always run them separately

About 2 months ago I've received 2 miles detection from a statoinary KA band
speed sign near city of Tifton ,GA on I-75 south in construction zone.

Running those two together will kill performance.
Now if you are alerted before seeing the source you are good. V1 and 9500ix are close with a slight edge to the V1 except for KA 35.5. I have gotten distances the were legit saves form 1/4mi to 2 miles.

Range of alerts is going to vary widely due to terrain in your area. More flat open terrain will give the best alert distance. Do not be discouraged by the alert distance of the k-band speed sign, since it is low powered, and a LEO using a k-band gun would give a lot more alert distance depending on terrain.

Ive gotten close to a 2 mile alert... maybe one or two times. Extremely rare. Most of my detections average around .4 to .7 miles. Ive had a few under .2 miles... i wasnt happy with those...
I guess i shouldve gotten the redline considering where im located and all the hills and curves... but its still a damn good all round detector with adequate detection range. And when i travel (which i do often) it helps having the camera database. If they added a USA mode or some kind of segmentation itd be even better.

Alright, thanks for all the answers. And no I wasn't running the two detectors at the same time, had one mounted for a pass, took one down and put up the other one and did another pass. I'll be keeping the 9500 IX just because all the features fit my regular routes of driving. Hopefully it'll get me some nice saves when its actually a real LEO shooting radar.

That wont help we have tested this with the V1 in not the same car still leaked and made ix not go off till the last sec
