audi lane change assist related
been out of the game for a bit now, had my old sti stolen and never replaced it. Ive recently bought a 2009 a4, and i was reading that people are having problems with false k band using V1 because of side assist. Im looking at a redline or stir, will either of the 2 false alarm? Its good to be back, Jammers are also on the list, LPP work?
Re: audi lane change assist related
If a detector is working properly, then they should alert to the k band signal if it gets reflected back to the detector.

well that sucks big time...
Only people using the V1 have complaints but it hasnt been tested with a redline or stir. I cant get any info out of audi regarding the blind spot system, and since i live in a rd banned area theres no one that i know with a rd to confirm the band used. The system cannot be turned off...
Anyone driving a new audi or benz with this system have problems? People with v1 versions earlier then the first version to have pop, have no problems.

Next time, don't buy a car with all the stupid "assist" features... they are optional equipment, so get a 2009 A4 that doesn't come with them.
I bet you can pull a fuse and disable that "feature" if you want to use an RD. Or have the dealership disconnect it. I bet they get complaints from RD users that their RDs go off non-stop.

Well that's really to bad, guess I'll just have to invest in some good jammers then.

Yeah good call with LI, I was thinking though, if I get the redline and turn off k band I would be fine. Previous encouters I've had have all be ka, most radar here is ka. Would it work if I just set the rd up using my passenger seat in-between the headrest??

I have issues from these cars with my STi-R from time to time.

Ha ha, sorry boys the questions keep coming. What if I got the 9500ci, I know it has the gps and truelock, would it be able to cancel out the false k band from my car.
Aslo, has anyone seen the new Volvo auto stop feature, says it uses radar signals to stop the car.
