New from SoCal

How's it going guys?

Found this site and looks like it has great amount of knowledge. I got a V1 about a month ago and it is one of the best things I have ever purchased, already a few saves:D. Currently running it in my slightly modded 06 F250 Powerstroke;). I'm looking forward to learning about my V1 and all the other things this site has to offer!

I'm not running a jammer, but I have looked into it a little bit. My only question is aren't jammers illegal in CA?

Yup: Section 28150 of CVC. To be caught with 3 or less jammers is an infraction, 4 or more is a misdemeanor. The chance of you ever being caught... extremely slim. After your jammer goes off, slow down and shut it off so the officer can get a reading and won't suspect anything. I'll even come down to SoCal to help you test your setup. We also have other forum members in the SoCal area that I'm sure would be happy to help too.

Do you happen to know what the fine is? Thanks for the offer to come down and test it out, I will have to research it for a while before I make a desicion...

I heard the fine is $99 but can't confirm it.

I think the fine is around 100-125 if it is an infraction and 400-500 if they get you for misdemeanor. You would have to have 4 or more jammers in your car though for misdemeanor.
