Just got a Bushnell Velocity K-Band gun. I've been having to much fun with this thing. I've been using it heavily in my car close range to my Escort 8500. The 8500 immediately goes to full K-Band detection (as expected) when I shoot. Will shooting radar this close to the 8500 for extended times hurt it or damage it in any? Maybe overwhelming the RD antenna/circuitry?
Probably a silly question but it's been on mind. Thanks.

Don't shoot the RD a lot with it. I do it rarely for testing, but I wouldn't do more than that.
Agree you didn't mention your target or intentions, so I'm curious what exactly are you doing w/your Bushnell inside your car if your not targeting other Cars on the Road?Quote:

Maybe I'm missing something, but why would shooting your Bushnell in your car cause your RD harm?
I don't know. It might be just something I dreamed up. My brain got to thinking the other day if maybe hitting my 8500 at this close range might be overloading/overwhelming the antenna and/or circuits. This is what I'm trying to ask is if anybody knows for sure whether or not this is ok for the RD or is it causing harm?Quote:
