Veil G4 on BMW S1000RR.....SUCCESS!!!!

Got around to putting G4 on the BMW, and I must say using the supplied brushes and a hair dryer to slightly heat the paint and surface to be painted resulted in an unnoticeable finnish!.

I then headed out with the Laser Atlanta and achieved a JTG on the first attempt followed by several runs achieving a speed reading at less then 50m. This resulted in a very frustrated operator:cool:. Untill he decided to aim at my mirror finnish helmet visor which proved very effective till I put my head down.

I was not expecting such a positive result with veil alone, but I guess the shape of the motorcycle and lack of reflective surfaces assisted in my result. It should be noted that I did not achieve such a positive result on my Honda CBR although still proved highly effective.

I would be interested in seeing how the BMW fairs against other brands of LIDAR.

Thanks for the positive comments. The finish was breath taking. I am unsure how Veil on a visor will affect my vision, but I will try it on an old visor first.

As for a jammer I still have plans for a ZR4, as I have had excellent results on my car when used with Veil G4.

Go at least with a blinder or laser interceptor

Interesting trick with the hairdryer. I might try that the next time I do my headlights. What type of air temperature did you apply in?

It was a nice spring day here in Aus with low humidity and a air temp of 21 degrees C. I got the hair dryer trick of one of the Veil G4 stickies, Just don't get it too hot or it sets to quick. I also found that using the hair dryer and the headlight heat itself to rapidly dry the paint resulted in a touch dry finish in minutes. Good Luck.

Seems like the gold forks would give a good reflective surface for laser. Did you veil those too or is that not a problem?

I didn't Veil the forks, But I imagine that they would be pretty good reflector, I hadn't even thought of that. I shall Veil them this weekend.

Let me know how that works. My FZ1 has gold forks too.
