Laser Gun Testing on SR 113 between Milford and Georgetown? (Maryland)

Quite a shocker here: While driving down to Ocean City last thursday afternoon I got a bit of open road in my WRX once I got south of Milford. I put the cruise on ~85... then spotted someone on the side of the road wearing a bright green vest... with a Crown Vic behind him. I STOOD on the brakes and was quickly hit with Laser (Valentine1 ). As I went by I saw the cop laughing as he swung the gun down, then hit me again from the rear. A mile or two later I got hit again, again with a few cops standing on the side of the road with bright green vests on.

They were doing a pretty poor job of hiding... what's the deal here? Did I get lucky or were they just testing their guns?

Something smells fishy.

sounds like you got a break. he was probably laughing because he knew your RD went off and you slammed the breaks. probably saw you nose dive. He probably already had your speed.

Has happened to me before with the state police. Most of them are pretty relaxed and will give you 15 or 20 over

Noooooo! Don't tell me the Delaware State Police are now equipped with laser guns. Looks like I'll have to invest in a jammer now.

Haha dude where have you been, Delaware has the Truspeed, Stalker LZ1 and ProLaser3 all over the place. I've seen a ton of Laser in Delaware. No, MD doesn't have the Laser Ally. Prolaser 2 and Prolaser 3 for the staties, some counties out in Fredrick have been spotted with Truspeeds.

Haha this is typical MD enforcement, they want you to slow down by seeing them, they don't want to have to chase you down and give you a ticket. Be thankful the staties here are usually pretty forgiving. Get a LJ.

Usually, I travel in the off hours and take a few back roads on my way to the beach. I never go Route 50 but you can catch me on 13 for a little bit. Usually, the DSP are running C/O 34.7 so they are easy to pick up.

MSP, been shot by them a few time with ProLaser III on 95 north near Rt198, Frederick and Hagerstown and in my home town of Ellicott City on Rt100.
