i'm actually working on trying to get my hands on one of these to test out and see exactly what it does and how it operates.
Yeah seems like it. I would rather trust my hands with a V1 interfaced than a Cobra.....but then again thats just me.
Personally, I applaud Cobra for pushing the technology envelope. I believe as a platform design, there are a lot of possibilities with a software based solution (that could potentially interface with future improved hardware models).

I was impressed with the platform they were using for their "15 band detectors." Since then though they and most other manufacturers have not made any advancements in regards to detection technology. Bells and whistles are nice, but I want to see some effort in actually improving the detection platform of detectors regardless of brand.
My iphone will not support 15 bands !
