Traded in my Original Passport (1980's) on a Redline
Got the 80 dollar credit, took a test drive today. Do not know how they did it but the 35.5 performance of the Redline is mind blowing. On and off axis performance is blistering, better by far than any other windshield mount I have used. A mode works well for filtering out k-band automatic doors. Have not had any 34.7 action yet but I am looking forward to that. So far I am very pleased with my purchase. Kudos to Escort!

Interesting! How does it do so?
I assume you can turn X off if you want to also?

Congrats! I agree on the 35.5 detection; my Redline went off yesterday and I looked at the usual spot, nope. The MSP trooper was further down the road on a sweeping bend on the other side of the highway.

From what I understand it looks for the 2nd signal (automatic doors signal in pairs) and ignores it. There are 2 A modes, A mode and A no X. I was running A mode with X turned off in the Band settings.
I found a local who me and DJ know shoots 34.7 Q/T. I sat down the street from him in plain view so I could see when he raised the gun and fired, and I did not see one time he raised the gun the Redline did not alert 34.718. I was concerned the Redline would miss his Q/T shots but now I feel confident in its protection against him.

The Redline is an excellent radar detector, but I still miss the arrows and ramp-up of the V1.

I agree. I waited for over a year for V1 to counter with Redline sensitivity, but finally gave up waiting.
