Defender2 8 diode single head jammer first pics

Here is the first pic of the 8 diode x 1 head jammer.
The laser diodes are not soldered on but go where you can see the solder pads in line with the infra-red diodes.
This system will tested next week together with the Defender2 production unit and our first real indepth video's will be posted.
Just got 2 tripods to mount the LTI etc on and also the video camera :lol:
What is very unique about this head is that the firing patterns of each bank or 2 diodes can be adjusted to give different beam spread patterns.
Unit size is also compact and only about the width of 2 x Pulse Master units.

What is the dimensions??

We will run some tests to show it working next week,We are not 100% sure if this 8 diode system will go in to production for a while,Size of this head is around 10cm wide by 6cm deep.

Here's what I do in shooting the LTI with a video camera.

Its ONLY a suggestion, but not many others have shot video through an LTI scope.

The marksman has a focal point for eyes at 6" - 1 foot.

FOR video: JAM the lense to the scope eye piece. THEN slowly zoom in a bit to make the tunnel vision (field of vision) much wider to nearly the whole scope width.

Autofocus should be off, but I can do it with AF on............

If you can do this well enough (practice) you'll FLIP OUT the side view screen on the videocamera and shoot the LIDAR while watching the screen.

ALIGNEMENT is crucial! So ping a known distance like a sign or mail box often, while you "film" AND "aim" via the flip out screen on the video camera.

TWO POINTS I want to see.

If you get JTG, the error code E-01 will display and maybe others.

IF you HOLD the TRIGGER DOWN, the LAST reading will remain in the rear display during the entire clocking. If you pull the trigger AT least three or four times during a vehicle run, you will get (force) the electronics to display in the scope (HUD) for two seconds the "new" readings; error codes or not.

THIS IMHO, shows the unit is actually clocking and if your unit can really jam the LTI.

SECOND: Have another vehicle within clocking range and pan to it briefly during the "test" so we can see E-01 type codes (JTG) and actual readings off the other vehicle.

If the unit kicks back an E-0x code, PULL the trigger again to keep the audio going and another reading calculation.


THIRD: If you're REALLY good, you'll hold the LTI with a funny grip so your index (or thumb) finger can quickly and continuously press the "range" button on the right.
IF you can do this cleanly, you CAN, in the scope (because it displays for 2 seconds) BOTH the speed and distance on a non jamming car.
THIS shows me BOTH the speed and distances the reading are coming from are legit.

IF you get an E-0x code, you CANNOT toggle between speed or distance because the unit HASN"T obtained a reading.

JAMMING a vehicle, while filming you won't need the funny grip or to touch the "range" button. Just point and shoot. and if it kicks back an E-0x code, PULL the trigger AGAIN quickly to keep taking readings........

You'll need to change the brightness of the DOT in the scope (HUD) or the screen will bleed red in the picture and be hard to see.

Brightness is the center of the back buttons then left for down right for up 0 - 40 are the values. 12 is perfect in avg sunshine, overcast. higher (30) in BRIGHT sunshine.

Yes please do what you can to silence the critics... make sure the video leaves no suspicions as much as possible, because you KNOW JTW and others are gonna rip into you for even the slightest out-of-focus or out-of-view anything.

HUD through the scope is hard to see and I think there is a filter missing.
Anyway this is a sample video showing jamming of the LTI20-20 at close range.
tested at 15 feet to 2750+feet and jamming without any problems.
More video's to come over the next few weeks before release.
