Advice for 09 Subaru Impreza - Updated Pic
I searched and couldn't find anything...I am looking at getting an LI for Xmas this year and didn't know which to order and also the best placement for my car. This is the only decent pic of the grill I could find on my computer....

Also, looking for any other Christmas ideas...all I have now is a V1 and a Garmin w/Trapster.

Go outside and take a pic of your car's grill. White out the plate and post it up
Re: Advice for 09 Subaru Impreza
Where to put it is the easy question. HOW to put it there is the difficult part. They need to be up at the level of the grille, not down below the bumper. Just under the chrome piece, as widely spaced as possible. But yeah, getting it there will be the problem.

Right above the WRX badge, in (not behind) the grille, and the other head in the same position on the other side. You want them perfectly level and as widely spaced as possible. Results should be excellent.
Don't forget your rear end. Otherwise, you're taking a big gamble.

Awesome...thank you.
Is there a difference between the standard and the high power...or I guess should I lean towards the high powered one or would the standard one work for my car?

the standards have 1 diode in each head, and the HP have two diodes, one horizontally aimed and one vertically aimed. if you can afford a HP, there is no such thing as overkill in countermeasures.

Quoted for truth. The more, the better. While a standard dual will handle your front end fine, the extra measure of power is never wasted. Even the best set-up is susceptible to occasional freak punchthrough, usually on the off-axis of the headlights. The HPs very definitely help cover that. And on the rear end, an HP is all that will get the job done on many cars, because of poor positioning options.
