I periodically test my heads in parking sensor mode, and I noticed today that the right one had a much shorter sensing distance. Does this signify a problem with the sensitivity of the head, perhaps dead photodiodes or LED's?

I would suggest contacting BlinderGuy on this matter. He's your best source of information on all things Blinder. Alternatively, you could email Blinder Tech Support off of the Blinder website. Torben should respond fairly quickly.
If you take a cell phone camera and turn the system on to parking mode after dark, you can use the cell phone camera to see the LED's firing. There should be 8 of them firing in each head. That will tell you if there is a problem with some of the LED's.
