I have asked Cliff about this gun and the question is pending.

They claim to have these in use in the UK, and 25 other countries around the world.... It's NOT lidar.. according to the company profile "The Speedar is a type-approved handheld Doppler radar unit that can be used with confidence on roads with opposing traffic flows"

hehe, as soon as I saw it was a UK company I KNEW there was no way we haven't heard of this gun before. I guess the reporter on that story is misinformed or the police there don't want people to know it's still radar??
