...and again, more BS. What's happening the UK is that most of the safety camera partnerships (the main ticket issuers) have been disbanded due to budgetary cuts. Funny that, if speeding is so dangerous, why kill off the main mechanism for keeping speed down? The whole thing was obviously bogus. Anyway, speed enforcement is now back in the hands of the cops, but they have limited resources to apply to this, so they have set up community speedwatch groups using volunteers (aka 'oncerned citizens' with F all to do all day) handed them cheap radar guns and set them forth to note down vehicle licence plates. This POS map thing is just to make them seem more intimidating by lumping their activities with those of the cops. Anyhoo...most fixed speed cameras in the UK have been switched off for some time now and most mobile lidar vans have been parked up in the garage until the economy gets better as local governemnt were damn sure they weren't going to fund central government when local budgets were being slashed..
