Beltronics v940 Only Detects False Targets
I purchased my v940 almost a year ago and it was fantastic and could pick up cops way before I see them but lately it seems to never go off when I pass any cops, actually never at all this summer. It still goes off in all the usual false signal locations though and I have tried different locations on my windshield. Either all the cops are using something it isn't seeing or it is not working correctly, it almost cost me a ticket today, luckily it was less than 10 over and only got a warning.

Cops don't always have their radar equipment on. If your unit is picking up the usual falses, I wouldn't worry about much.

In addition to above post ^^^^^
Try a factory reset and see if that helps
Factory Default Settings
To reset your V940 to its original
factory settings, press and hold the
“CITY” and “BRT” buttons while
turning the power on. The V940’s
display will provide a Reset
message, accompanied by an audible
alert, acknowledging the reset
Re: Beltronics v940 Only Detects False Targets
Do you know if the cop that gave you a warning was using laser?
Re: Beltronics v940 Only Detects False Targets
Thinking he was using POP (Wasn't enabled on my detector) or something because it beeped once right when he passed me, can't remember the band but it wasn't laser. Also considering upgrading to a newer/better model, should I trade my current one in and get another bel or should I try another company. I am considering one the the 65 models.
Re: Beltronics v940 Only Detects False Targets
Very few departments use pop. If I had to guess, I would say that one "beep" was likely a false from a nearby automatic door or something.
