Whistler model breakdown help!

I have been trying to search for some info on RDs. I'm looking for an upgrade from my 1730. Yes I am way outdated but honestly that thing has been GREAT! I've read this forum enough to know the V1, STi etc. are top dawgs and not really looking to argue the fact, however i'm not a huge speedster "all the time" and really do no more then 15ish when i do. With that being said, could i be directed to a thread or just get a lil help in this one on what's the better RD? Is the Pro 68se REALLY worth it or coming from the 1730, could I make do with something like the XTR-265? Also would anybody have any charts on these Whistlers to show the different options each on has or know where to find something like that? FWIW I've been lookin at XTR-265/330/540 etc, Pro 73/58/68se etc.

The 68se is the rev c platform which is very good. I would recommend 78se,690se,693se,or 695se which is rev c+ platform and they are excellent on ka band. Ive never used any of the cheaper whistlers so I cant say on any of their performance.

Ive heard Whistler will be introducing a new model soon but dont if there is any truth to that or not. If they do it might be worth it to wait a little while to see what new improvements Michael B. and tnd the team have come up with.

The 338 and 543 were recently released in September and more to be released in 2012.

What state do you drive in?
Do you know the types of radar used in your area?

I will on those models you said. I live in Indiana and I'm a little unsure to what bands are being used. With the 1730 I am currently using, it's very hard to see which band is alerting me and just have not remembered the sounds yet lol! I have been trying to look on this forum in search of all the different one however most of the models have only 3 lettered/numbered names and won't except it.

Will it be early 2012? I would love to see what new things Whistler has to introduce and cant wait to test them.

@Michael B dont see much info on the 2 RDs you suggested? could you shoot me a website? Not even seeing them on the Whistler group website. Is this just because they are that new?

I see nothing about the detectors you speak of? Link to the info?
