2010 BMW 328i Coupe E92 - RX65, LI Dual
Just got back from testing the new setup with djrams80. Tested ProLaser III and TruSpeed against the BMW edition vertical LI Dual and RX65 (S7). Runs were done at 40mph.
Both headlights were JTG on PL3 and TruSpeed.
Center of mass punchthrough was 48ft for PL3 and 68ft for TruSpeed. Good enough for me.
RX65 didn't alert for headlight shots with PL3, but did alert immediately to COM shot.
It did alert all 3 times immediately with TruSpeed though.
Pictures of setup below. Power switch under steering wheel. Mute button for RD and PA switch next to passenger seat. RX65 hardwired in, mounted up high next to the RVM.
I want to say thanks again to DJ for helping me test the setup, especially on a Saturday. He is a real stand up guy, and would recommend him to anyone.

Nice! Good balance between performance and stealth on the LI.
How do you like your S7 RX65? I do love mine and feel as though I've got a "hot" one; sometimes it outperforms the Redline in K band detection.

Yeah, I wanted them tucked in the kidney grille enough so they weren't just blatantly obvious. But I also wanted good performance because after all, the reason you use jammers is to jam, not to get tucked away where they don't do their job. So they sit about flush with the front, the heads have good view of the road. Kidney grilles are inherently tough to mount in, because the heads are about the width of the slats in the grille. Glad LI made the BMW edition though.
I just got my S7 off refurb from Escort. It doesn't really get too hot, nothing out of hand. Stays out of the sun when it's up that high too.
It does false K band occasionally, but I've sort of determined the spots to ignore on my highway route. Occasionally Fords and Porsches will screw with it.
But when it alerts to Ka, usually 34.7, it's right on the money every time. CHP loves Stalker, so anything Ka is a pretty sure bet that you better be cautious. About 95 percent of my drive is highway, so the K band alerts don't really phase me, especially when using a rabbit.

What he meant about "hot" was not heat.............lol, he meant super sensitive on K band.

Haha, good catch. I must have been tired because it makes perfect sense to me now. I guess when he said he "felt" like he had a hot one, I thought he was actually physically feeling the RD.
