New RX65 owner - Need help!
Hi,
I just got my RX65 Blue RD in today. I bought it from a guy named Spencer at the Beltronics website. It has 6.5 as the REV. Is 6.5 what the rev should be?
Also, could people tell me what RD settings they are using for driving in the USA with their RX65, and why they have found their setting to work the best?
Re: New RX65 owner - Need help!
I thought someone at this forum could answer my questions.

Rev 6.5 is the latest standard firmware revision. For improved detection reaction time program the unit to Ka USA mode, make sure POP is OFF, SWS is OFF and TSR is OFF. POP and SWS are never needed, TSR could be needed if you drive xways with traffic flow sensor K band radar.
Run in HIGHWAY for upmost detection sensitivity. Depending on where you drive you may be able to turn X band OFF as it isn't used in many states by the police.

Thanks InsiderCW3 for the info.
I live in the New Orleans area and do most of my driving in the Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida panhandle area of the country. I do not know if there are any traffic flow monitoring systems being used in these parts of the country, thus needing TSR usage for those areas. Maybe people living in these areas that has knowledge of traffic flow monitoring systems, can post about them needing to use the TSR feature.

If you notice frequent K band alerts on highways that alert stronger than the normal false alerts then enable TSR. These sensors are spaced about 1-2 miles apart so you will see the alerts consistently if they are used on highways around you.
