Cheetah C50 refuses to update.. Assuming support has stopped...
I am starting to assume support for c50 has stopped now with the new 150 being offered. Which is ludacris for all of us that have invested in c50. Since both are based off of the same trinity databases. Attempted to use version 7 tool in the history section of my purchase listed with cheetah to no avail.. Keeps giving me a @trinitygps login id which ofcourse i don't have. I have a speedcheeta login and yes i purchased lifetime updates.. Lifetime means lifetime. Not 2yrs.
Also, have attempted to contact speedcheeta to no avail..> All of their phone lines are disconnected or are phones from 10yrs ago that are no longer in service.
Have attempted email correspondence to no avail.. Not a single response to any of my concerns.
Have attemped mulitple forms of logining in to update.. Have tried using serial and order number as means for id and pass as old school way to no avail have tried flipping them around even to no avail.. Have also attempted to Use my speedcheetah.com login info which i can log into speedcheetah.com with which is weird.. But for some reason upon being asked for my speedcheetah.com email... which i provide, and my pass the same one from .com site it refuses to update my cheetah c50 with either tool... V7 or V9.... Horrible customer service. Non to be exact, and a total disregard for previous generational users. THeir answer i guess is update to cheetah c150 and pay 100 dollars plus another 50 for lifetime updates.. I would prefer to keep my c50 for now. I would like to not be a beta user thanks. Also where is the manual update page for older users? What if i want to download 5108 software? Shouldn't there be a page somewhere with links to each revision? There always was a manual update page for most units of this nature? Why is cheetah failing to make par? They could atleast put up a page with the software so people could download at least the latest revision and update their older units manually. If they are going to take down support for their server based app fine. But come on not even a page of revisions by country so i can download manually and update? Navalert atleast offered this. What is cheetahs problem.. This is why i hated it when everyone left navalert. Which was stupid anyhow. Before they died because everyone left them..> They offered free updates in the cost of the unit.. Which was actually less than c50 more well designed, and better built to withstand time. SO many people are complaining to me about speaker issues with their c50 units. Poor chineese grade plastic and solder.. to boot. And a mediocre lens display that feels so cheap everytime i pick up the thing in my hands gently i'm afraid i'm going to break the thing. BUt now to add insult to that injury it's either upgrade or be left in the dust thanks cheetah one very pleased customer here!!! NOT!

I've also attempted to reach out to speedcheetah and I was told by an old forum member that he moved on and now lives in WY
So not sure what has happened to their company

I've got 2 C50s and BOTH are still being supported as well as one C150 (which is also being supported and it quite nice). I've had no issues, BUT the guy in AZ is no longer with Cheetah and they are being supported by Stuart over in GB.

Now the version of the C50 went from 5051 to 5066.

I've got the C100 and all the LEDs on it have gone out/defective. I e-mailed Cheetah in GB about getting it fixed and they said buy a new C150. Wow...guess they think us Americans are really made out of money. No way I am dropping $150 samolies on a C150. Especially when there is NO support in the USA.

I got an update today to 5092 or 5192. today being 9/23/15. according to the cheetah website the c50 is no longer in stock and there is a new model the c550 I think they are calling it.
