P-band alert in my new Passport

I am using new Passport for over a month. Recently it indicated P-band presence. I am unable to find reference for it. Anyone knows what was that? Literally, i got letter P displayed with signal strength bar as during other X, K, etc. alerts I am getting. What was it?

Side question is where can I find glossary for all messages that may appear on my Passport? I looked on escort website bit nothing more to be found beyond brief User Manual I already have. I appreciate input.

Hmm, may be its alerting to POP (which isn't used much if at all). Check your settings. I have never gotten a P alert from my Passport.

So yesterday I got P signal again on my detector with max bars when driving down I95. I noticed that when this happened, there was a rough BWM low rider passing me swinging from line to line, speeding.

When he got away the P dissapeared.
Is it possible my detector picked up something that driver had installed in his BMW?

Not on a BMW, the P is whats odd. Check your settings.

What if the BMW had installed Laser swagger?

Just asked customer service for that "P". Since display show it, there must be a condition for the detector to display this. The P band message is result of detector software action upon hardware detection and there must be explanation for its appearance.

On a side note, I am surprised there is no messages display glossary for this model. Having so many different messages, the owner expects to be informed about what may appear on display and what does it mean. Not for Escort. Lack of decent manual or user guide is bizarre. Not trying to brag, just it is a bit odd.

"P" Solved !!!

It is indeed Ka-POP gun detection. Confirmed with Escort technical service support.

There is one in my area that cruises around. Caught it again this morning, was hidden behind towing truck pulling one broken car from the side of the road.

Note. This lonely "P" appears only on Expert screen. Not sure what is shown on other screens cause I do not use those.

Confirmed although K-Pop is shown as "P" on Expert mode display, the Escort Live app displays and logs Ka with no Pop info. Pity, it would be nice to know.
