Time to replace my V1 and a little story.
I've had a V1 for 10 years, and it has served me well. With all the new false alerts from the newer car electronics, I was getting SOOOO many false alters, wasn't worth having the detector on. (oh I'm in NJ).
So now I'm in the position of either upgrading my V1 ($289 + shipping + BT Module $50). Ok I basically get a brand new V1.
THEN
I get a coupon/offer in the mail from Escort, $100 off of the New Passport, bringing it down to the $250 range (add tax and shipping). What to do???
I finally decided to try the Escort with the idea that I had the 30 day return option. I also say, I wonder how my V1 would do on Ebay, take a couple of pics and post it, starting at $100 with a buy it now price of $150 (I thought that was fair, the V1 is in really good condition, no scratches, plus I've always had it hard wired, so never used the coiled wire, visor mount or the hard wire kit but it is 10 years old).
It's on ebay for 2 hours and sells.
I just got the Passport today.
Been thinking about getting a sticky cup mount for it, any thoughts on that? Are they any good?
Thanks
Dave
